Abstract

Doped Zinc oxide thin films have been deposited on glass substrates using intermittent spray pyrolysis. Doping of ZnO with aluminum and magnesium yielded n-type semiconductors while p-type semiconductors were obtained by doping the thin films with nitrogen, silver and sodium. Hall measurements and UV-Vis were performed on the samples to investigate their electrical and optical properties of the thin films. Sodium doped ZnO thin films exhibited the highest figure of merit for transparent conducting electrode among all the other films due to its low sheet resistance at high transmittance of 83%.
