Abstract

The terahertz (THz) emission spectra of GaAs/AlGaAs core-shell nanowires (NWs) on Si (111) and Si (100) substrates were measured using THz-time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). The THz spectra of NWs grown on the Si (111) substrate exhibited Fabry-Perot modes. The origin of the Fabry-Perot modes is suggested to originate from multiple reflections within the Si substrate.
