Complexity in human online communication: analysis and modeling of sending patterns in email and Twitter
Abstract
We studied and modeled human online communication using Twitter and email datasets. We found that the interevent time distribution of sent messages have four regimes. Two of the regimes obey a power-law scaling behavior, while the other two regimes are associated with human circadian rhythm and message composition time constraints.
