Comparison of High Dynamic Range images rendered via Response function recovery, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Matlab

Abstract

Five images with the same subject taken at different exposure times were developed to render a single high dynamic range image (HDR) using the method proposed by Debevec and Malik¹, and automated rendering using Photoshop and Matlab built-in capabilities. The high dynamic range (HDR) image by Photoshop produced the best result with the least processing time.
