Wave function structure and quantum Time-of-Arrival
Abstract
Using semiclassical asymptotics, we calculate the expectation value of the quantum time-of-arrival of a particle for three cases: (i) as a free particle, (ii) as a harmonic oscillator, and (iii) as a test particle in an arbitrary interaction potential. With this method we show that a quantum time-of- arrival observable leads to corrections to the classical time-of-arrival.
