Tolerance and opinion dynamics
Abstract
We model a population where an individual may or may not have a trait that is untolerated by other members. An individual may choose to hide this trait or change his tolerance level depending on his nearest neighbors. Analytical expressions are given for the transition probabilities. The effect of the initial agent distribution on the probability of a status quo is also examined.
