Eigenvalues, eigenvectors and the two-level system

Abstract

We solve using eigenvalues and eigenvectors the two-level velocity-dependent system describing steady-state solutions. We investigate the behavior for varying cases of eigenvalues and point out when the solutions are unstable and ’spiral out’.
