Spatially periodic series solution of a half-order time fractional modification of a linear dispersive wave equation

Abstract

Fractional time derivative of order α is introduced to the dispersive wave equation and the general solution is obtained via complex Fourier series and Laplace Transform Method. The fractional dispersive wave equation is solved for the specific value α=1/2.
