Abstract

In this study, the proliferation rate of cells as dictated by their position in space was determined through a Monte Carlo approach. Two cases were considered in the growth process: position permanence for Case 1 and position changeability for Case 2. The two cases highlight the effect of neighboring cells. Results indicated an exponential behavior of the proliferation process for both cases. Lifespan showed to be inversely proportional to the duration of full growth for Case 1.
