Null coordinates and Einstein field equations with planar symmetry

Abstract

We use null coordinates to solve the Einstein Field Equations with planar symmetry. We obtain both the Kasner and Taub solutions. Using a coordinate transformation that maps infinity to finite values, we obtain the Penrose diagram for both metrics.
