Abstract

A terahertz time domain spectrometer based on optical sampling by laser cavity tuning technique using a commercial fiber laser with variable repetition rate was demonstrated. The time domain signal as well as the spectral bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio obtained through laser cavity tuning was comparable to that of a conventional terahertz spectrometer setup.
