Abstract

A technique for single-plane multiple-intensity speckle phase retrieval is proposed. To achieve single-plane recording, a previous work used a spatial light modulator (SLM) to implement varying transfer functions. To increase intensity variation in the case of smooth test objects, another work implemented a tunable phase diffuser using SLM while recording was done at varying planes. Here, a novel technique that combines the advantages of a tunable diffuser and numerical transfer functions for fixed plane is proposed. Effectiveness of the technique is demonstrated numerically and limitations of the model are discussed.
