Finite part integration of the Stieltjes transform for entire functions: Branch-point singularity
Abstract
Explicit representations of Stieltjes transform of several functions, particularly with a branch point at the origin, are obtained using the method of finite part integration on the Stieltjes integral. It is noted that the transforms of these functions are non-trivial to compute otherwise and are not amenable to symbolic computation in currently leading computer algebra systems.
