Abstract

We present a method for estimating pedestrian movement using bike share data. The method involves counting instances of unique trips and using them to create a weighted road network. The weights represent road usage within the city which is expected to be representative of pedestrian density. It also provides possible routes taken by pedestrians and popular transport hubs within the city.
