Two-dimension Ising model simulation via Monte Carlo method with regions without spin

Abstract

We investigate Ising spins in a 2D lattice with a nonmagnetic region. Simulations of increasing regions without spin suggest an effective change in dimensionality: from a system with an effective critical temperature (2D) to one without (1D).
