Abstract

In this paper several techniques of electro-optic (EO) sampling for efficient detection of terahertz waves are reviewed including the Cherenkov phasematching, non-ellipsometric "heterodyne" electro-optic sampling, subwavelength focusing of THz waves with tapered parallel plate waveguide, etc.
