Abstract

Thickness and the optical constants of fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) thin films of varying dopant concentration were successfully calculated from transmittance measurements. An envelope method based on Swanepoel’s work was used. The calculated thickness from the spectra matches the measurements from cross-section SEM micrographs. Obtained optical constants are in agreement with the values reported in literatures.
