Abstract

This study validated the implementation of MCNP5 to the problem of particle transport. The experimental set-up of selected published works in literature was simulated using a simplified calibrator model created in this study. The generated beam-line quantities for the current simulation agree well with numerical as well as experimental results from literature. This validated the use of MCNP5 as a transport code, and the accuracy of the simplified calibrator model created. The findings of this study will allow the simulation to be extended to any possible room geometry and location that are of interest to future works.
