Characterizing the density of a city using the distribution of establishments
Abstract
Traffic jams may form when to a fraction of cars using a roadway are waiting to be able to park at nearby establishments. We look at the effect of establishments on nearby roads by proximity. We then characterize the aggregated effects of several establishments as a road density metric. We saw that distributions of the road density metric can show how establishments are distributed within Makati, Mandaluyong, and Quezon City.
