Emergence of small-avalanche rollover regimes by increased neighborhood interaction in a sandpile model
Abstract
We modify the redistribution of the stress values in the Bak-Tang-Weisenfeld Cellular Automata model by considering Von Neumann neighborhood radii different from 1.0. We show that increasing the redistribution radius allows recovery of the "rollover" regime observed in real world landslide catalogue data.
