Abstract

YBa₂Cu₃Oᵧ thin films were fabricated on SrTiO₃ (100) using 1064nm infared pulsed laser deposition (IR-PLD) with ex-situ post heat treatment. The surface of the as-deposited films shows spheroidal morphology and micro-cracks. The as-deposited film shows insulating behavior. After, ex-situ heat treatment and oxygenation, highly c-axis oriented and superconducting films were achieved. However, full oxygenation is necessary to improve the superconducting behavior of the films.
