Abstract

X-ray rocking curve of AlₓGa₁₋ₓAs/GaAs superlattice was obtained using high resolution x-ray diffraction (HRXRD) and was graphically fitted using the kinematical model. Specifically, the sample used in this study is composed of A, B, C, and D sublayers. A and C sublayers are GaAs having different well width while sublayers B and D are AlₓGa₁₋ₓAs also with varying thickness. Satellite peaks of the experimental and simulated curves corresponded with each other, thus making the kinematical model a good approximation of the expected rocking curve behavior.
