Synthesis of quality Bi₂Sr₂CaCu₂Oᵧ films through the process of sedimentation-deposition, melt-quenching and post-annealing
Abstract
Melt-quenching and post-annealing process was studied as an alternative growth technique for Bi-2212 films. SEM shows large and nearly featureless surface morphology with scattered rod-like aggregates. EDX reveal that the synthesized films are nearly 2212 in stoichiometry and that the rod-like phases is (SrCa)CuOâ‚‚. Also, the samples are highly c-axis oriented with TC-onset ranging from 65K to 90K as shown by XRD and RT-measurements.
