Characteristic time operators for systems with degenerate energy spectrum
Abstract
We investigate Characteristic Time Operators for systems with degenerate energy spectrum, and we show that the time - evolved eigenfunctions of these operators will make transitions to other eigenfunctions of the operator at an instant of time numerically close to half the difference between their corresponding eigenvalues, thus providing a dynamical interpretation for these operators.
