Optical diagnostics of laser produced Y-doped BiSrCaCuO plasma under vacuum condition
Abstract
Y-doped BSCCO sintered targets are ablated using a Q-switched 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. The temporal profile of the plasma shows a decay time of 1.6 μs (90%- 10% of the maximum). Time-integrated emission lines of bismuth (Bi), strontium (Sr), calcium (Ca), copper (Cu), oxygen (O), and yttrium (Y) are detected by a computer-controlled streak camera system. The Y line intensities are observed to increase proportional to the concentration of the Y.
