Abstract

The study aims to characterize human pattern recognition as a holographic process using 4x4 Sudoku puzzles. This was achieved by comparing results from human pattern recognition surveys and volume holographic correlation experiments. Recognition intensity for the surveys and experiments was assumed to be 1/(time for solving) and reconstructed intensity, respectively. Results indicate similarities between the two recognition systems.
