Abstract

A new method of generating on-demand patterns using a circular array of shifted Bessel modes is presented. The method can generate patterns with radial, and bilateral symmetry. It was also able to replicate arbitrary patterns supplied to the algorithm with good reconstruction as quantified using Linfoot's criteria of merit. Performance is further improved by increasing the number of modes in the reconstruction.
