Fabrication of an ethanol sensor device based on SnO2 nanobelts
Abstract
Tin oxide (SnO2) nanobelts were prepared by Horizontal Vapor Phase Growthâ„¢ (HVPG) technique without a catalyst. The surface morphology of the nanobelt was investigated by the High Resolution Scanning Electron Microscope (HRSEM) while the rutile crystal structure of the nanobelt was verified using X-ray Diffraction (XRD). The response of the SnO2 nanobelt on ethanol was confirmed with an increase of electric current when exposed to ethanol.
