Abstract

Polyaniline-Polyvinyl Acetate (PAni-PVA) composite films were fabricated using calendering method. In this study, HClO4 doped PAni were chemically synthesized. It was then mixed with PVA in different concentration (5:95, 25:75, 50:50 and 75:25). It was formed into films and made into uniform thickness using calendering machine. Mechanical properties and the conductivities of different concentration of PAni-PVA composite films were measured and compared. Mechanical test shows that 50:50 PAni-PVA has the highest elastic modulus. Conductivity of the prepared composite films increases as the concentration of PAni increases.
