Obstruction to quantization and Liouvillian "Quantization"

Abstract

We introduce the notion of a local time of arrival T^h_x' (q, p), which motivates a series expansion for an operator 𝒯 satisfying [ℋ,𝒯] = iħ, regardless of the obstruction to quantization. The corresponding operator 𝒯 for the harmonic and quartic oscillators are obtained and consequently shown to be the quantum time of arrival operator for each case.
