Abstract

We deal with two aspects of random walks with geometrically shrinking steps. First, we show that their long-time probability density functions are sensitively dependent on the persistence and shrinking factors. Second, we obtain exact expressions for all moments of a continuum approximation to the persistent random walk with geometrically shrinking steps.
