Abstract

Relative humidity (RH) is correlated with Angström coefficient values obtained from the analysis of the digital spectrometer data from 31 December 2005 to 1 January 2006 to investigate the growth of aerosols and the haziness of the atmosphere. A direct exponential relation was observed between Angström turbidity and RH. It was found out that the Angström exponents decrease for RH above 78%. The behavior of the Angström exponent was also found to have an inverse behavior with the particulate matter (PM) difference with respect to the total PM concentration.
