Case study of the correlation of black carbon content and pixel values of Teflon filters
Abstract
Black carbon concentration (BC) is determined by analyzing the pixel values of filters used in air sampling experiments. Pixel analysis reveals that a good correlation exists between BC concentrations with the pixel values in grayscale mode. This technique can be used to predict fairly accurately the BC content of various filters with still unknown BC values.
