Propagation properties of Bessel beams retrieved from volume holograms
Abstract
Bessel beams are nondiffracting beams that have the ability to self-reconstruct. These beams can be stored in a photorefractive crystal such as LiNbO3 via volume holography. The reconstructed image of the Bessel beam still exhibits non-diffraction up to a distance of 65.9 cm while the theoretical nondiffraction propagation is up to 290 cm.
