Abstract

We model a bidisperse suspension of particles in a convecting fluid driven by a thermal gradient consistent with lattice Boltzmann equation. Two cases are examined: bidispersity in mass and bidispersity in the drag coefficient. Segregation at short times as a result of differences in particles acceleration is demonstrated.
