Abstract

This paper is a numerical study of the non-diffracting and self-reconstructing properties of Helico-Conical Optical Beams (HCOBs). The beams were propagated using the Kirchhoff-Fresnel Diffraction Equation (KFDE). Their intensity profiles were observed at different propagation position and were seen not diverging up to a certain distance. At some point from its original position, amplitude and phase blocks were placed and the distances wherein the beams reconstructed were noted. HCOBs are self-reconstructing although, the beams are unstable.
