Higher order momentum transport equation for fluids and onset of turbulence

Abstract

Previously modified momentum transport equation has been derived with its numeric simulation using up to third-order corrections only. It is shown that with the inclusion of a new parameter, the higher order corrections are well represented raising the possibility of irregular solutions or turbulent-like flow of the fluid. The equation is applied to the plane Poiseuille flow.
