Abstract

This paper aims to study the diffusion thermoelectric power of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). This was obtained using a linear response method and a semiclassical treatment of metallic-like systems. The energy and the density of states were generated using the tight binding model for both electrons and holes. The SWNT, exhibiting a diffusive transport, is shown to have a negative thermoelectric power for an energy-dependent relaxation time. This indicates that electrons are dominant and demonstrates a metallic-like behavior.
