Abstract

We report our measurements on the hyperfine spectra of the isotopic 129I2 molecule using Doppler-free saturation spectroscopy. The measured hyperfine transitions can be used directly in accurate frequency calibrations. In addition, the spectroscopic data from the isotopic molecule is necessary for the precise description of the rovibrational structure of the iodine molecule.
