Modeling physics and the pendulum

Abstract

The workshop will have a brief summary of the "Modeling Physics" method as part of "constructivism." Participants will do a pendulum experiment, graph the data, linearize it (if necessary), get the physics equation from the graph and make a general conclusion. Related teaching methods and difficulties will also be discussed.
