Abstract

Voltammetric response of Hg(II) to a carbon paste electrode modified with essential oil from ilang-ilang was analyzed. The analysis was performed using both cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry. Optimization of the voltammetric parameters was carried out and showed that the carbon paste electrode modified with ilang-ilang oil has the capacity of preconcentrating Hg(II) metal analytes from solutions.
