Abstract

We report the results of our investigation of the local density of states (LDOS) of a superconducting/normal metal (SN) multilayer. The LDOS are calculated in the superconducting (S) and normal-metal (N) layers. Transverse size and multilayer effects are discussed. The influence of the lengths of the S and the N layers is expounded as well.
