Intra-granular loss peak in the AC susceptibility of magnesium diboride in the Meissner state at various applied fields and frequency
Abstract
Intra-granular loss peak in the AC magnetic susceptibility of MgB2 in the Meissner state was investigated using a Mutual Inductance Bridge and lock-in technique. In this state, the intra-granular loss peak shows linear dependence on the applied magnetic field and excitation frequency. This intragranular loss peak was explained as a manifestation of the eddy currents generated by Faraday effect.
