Abstract

Plasma parameters of a linearly magnetized plasma device are characterized. The device, currently equipped with a hollow cathode can produce a 92 cm long plasma. It was found that a H2 gas filling pressure of 1.0 mTorr produces the highest electron density regardless of the discharge current.
