A mathematical model of traffic congestion along one-lane roads at road intersection stoplights

Abstract

A mathematical model describing the rate of traffic congestion along one-lane roads at road intersection stoplights was derived based on an analysis of the motion or dynamics of a system of vehicles. Also, an equation for an efficient time interval for traffic signal switching was also obtained.
