Effects of extraction and lens voltages in extracting H⁻ ions from a magnetized sheet plasma using an E×B probe

Abstract

This paper discusses the effects of V_ext and V_lens parameters of an E×B probe in the extraction of H⁻ in a magnetized sheet plasma. Variation of V_ext shows that I_peak is maximum at V_ext = 190V and FWHM is narrower at higher V_ext. Whereas the variation of V_lens reveals that I_peak and FWHM are not much affected by negative V_lens but are decreased by increasing positive V_lens.
