Confronting the issue of phase drift and tuning in AC susceptibility measurements using a mutual inductance bridge
Abstract
To elucidate the origin and manifestation of phase drift, to minimize the effect, and to interpret current data on AC susceptibility, a detailed phasor analysis of a mutual inductance bridge (MIB) is presented. Understanding responses of the bridge with frequency and field with temperature will allow one to implement a protocol for tuning the MIB properly.
