Developing a numerical ray-tracing algorithm to determine corneal wave aberrations from corneal elevation maps

Abstract

This paper reports how we developed a ray-tracing algorithm written in MATLAB to determine corneal wave aberrations from corneal elevation maps. The algorithm is tested and the numerical errors were found to be practically small, making the algorithm potentially useful for data measured from human eyes.
