Abstract

Using the spin polaron formulation, the spin wave self-energy (or polarization) term is calculated in this paper. The approach not only reproduces the well-known results obtained by the self-consistent Born approximation and other methods, but also puts into a firm foundation the analytical treatment of spin wave interaction with hole fields in cuprate superconductors.
