Abstract

We present experimental results for attenuation in a freespace link due to Metro Manila rainfall. Maximum signal loss is 8.2 dB for a 19.4 m propagation distance under 79 mm/h rainfall. Attenuation is observed to saturate at rainfall exceeding 30 mm/h.
